Cuba - May 2016
Read More90/365 In 2016, Cruise ships were again permitted to travel to Cuba from the United States. We were on the second boat. As dawn broke, and we neared Havana - we could begin to see what welcomed us - a country of color and contrast. Entering the harbor, the skyline was full of color - bright, pastel or gray. Rough texture painted buildings barely holding together and juxtaposed to those recently and brightly renovated. We found this contradiction throughout the cities we visited in Cuba - whether buildings, homes, infrastructure - or even the Cubans themselves. Some struggled while others seemed to love life. A photographer’s paradise - every image had a story to tell.
