1 Pittsburgh to Louisville
First day. Sunny and a great way to start an incredible trip. After we gassed up, and grabbed our first Starbucks for the trip, we headed west and south across WV and through OH (boy is it flat and lots of corn fields), past Cincinnati (boo Reds) and then over the bridge and into Louisville KY. After a quick waterfront visit, we headed downtown to the famous Hotel Brown - for a special "Hot Brown" dinner and a Kentucky bourbon, of course.

The Big Four Bridge is a six-span former railroad truss bridge that crosses the Ohio River, connecting Louisville, Kentucky, and Jeffersonville, Indiana, United States. It was completed in 1895, and updated in 1929. The largest single span is 547 feet (167 m), with the entire bridge spanning 2,525 feet (770 m).
